1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Unifybase governing your use of our knowledge management platform at unifybase.io.

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Eligibility & Account Registration

Age Requirements

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Platform.

Account Security

You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate account information
  • Maintaining the security of your login credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

3. Service Plans & Subscription Terms

Service Tiers

  • Free Tier: Limited access with usage restrictions
  • Pro Plan: Enhanced features for $10-12/month

Billing

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly
  • Automatic renewal unless cancelled
  • Fees are non-refundable except as required by law
  • Cancel anytime (effective end of billing cycle)

Usage Limits

Each plan has limits on files, storage, AI requests, and team members. Exceeding limits may result in throttling or required upgrades.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to:

  • Upload illegal, harmful, or infringing content
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Platform
  • Attempt unauthorized access or security breaches
  • Reverse engineer or copy the Platform
  • Use the Platform to develop competing products
  • Send spam or engage in fraudulent activities
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations

Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination and legal action.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload to Unifybase.

By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process it to provide the Service (AI analysis, storage, etc.). This license terminates when you delete your content.

AI-Generated Content

Documents and content generated by our AI belong to you, subject to your compliance with these Terms. We recommend reviewing AI-generated content for accuracy.

Our Platform

The Unifybase platform, design, and features are our intellectual property and are protected by law.

8. AI Disclaimers and Limitations

Important AI Disclaimer

AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or biased. Do not rely on it for critical decisions without independent verification. We are not liable for AI errors or omissions.

AI Limitations

  • Accuracy: AI may produce incorrect or outdated information
  • Hallucinations: AI may generate plausible-sounding but false content
  • No Professional Advice: Not a substitute for legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice
  • Bias: AI models may reflect biases from training data

Third-Party AI (OpenAI)

We use OpenAI's models to process your content. OpenAI's Terms and Privacy Policy apply. Your content is not used to train OpenAI's models.

11. Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

No Warranties

We do not guarantee that the Service will be:

  • Uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
  • Accurate, reliable, or complete
  • Free of viruses or harmful components

Liability Cap

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from the Service is limited to the greater of: (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) $100.

No Consequential Damages

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.

13. Termination

By You

You may cancel your account at any time through account settings.

By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

  • Violate these Terms or our policies
  • Fail to pay subscription fees
  • Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity

Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

  • Your access to the Service ends immediately
  • Your data will be deleted within 30 days (except as required by law)
  • No refunds for unused subscription time
  • Certain provisions (liability, disputes, intellectual property) survive termination
